赵毅衡（1945— ），知名学者、比较文学教授、博士生导师。1988年至2006年执教于英国伦敦大学，2006年起担任四川大学文学与新闻学院教授兼符号学-传媒学研究所所长。代表著作有：《远游的诗神》《文学符号学》《广义叙述学》等。

比第一版少了太多，注重版权了，哈哈。对着原文看，活不算太细。
最好的是中英对照这种读诗方式，读研的时候的文学课老师都会把诗的原文和译本放在一起给我们读。William Carlos Williams的白描，Carl Sandburg的芝加哥，Wallace Stevens的Jar in Tennessee,Langston Hughes的“我是黑人：像黑夜一样黑，像我的非洲腹地一样黑”，当然还有我灵动的E.E.Cummings.
不会选诗 更不会翻译
堪称美国现代屎选
这里边最喜欢的诗人果然还是威廉斯啊。然后是桑德堡、兰斯顿·休斯和普拉斯。
至于其他，如弗罗斯特、艾略特和史蒂文斯，有的还行，但终归没有多大感觉。整个黑人文学除了兰斯顿·休斯都不好看，其实意象派对我来说也如此。没提到的诗人不是数量太少，就是不怎么样，只喜欢其中的一两首。
