神经质的纠结心理，主人公的叙述太过絮絮叨叨，读起来没有快感。不过Jong捕捉到了许多微妙的想法，非常piercing的观察。

This is a good book

开篇实在太60s white feminist了 with the same race and class characteristics 后面救回来一点 也有些确实幽默的wisecracks 但就算理解时代背景限制和欣赏诚实描写taboo性爱跟内化社会conditioning的挣扎 还是不免觉得太白太中产了 尤其中间探访中东的一章 不停的说分不清别的种族的长相和形容中国丈夫inscrutable…
