可能是这辈子花最长时间读完一遍的书。作者其实已经在书中说明了,他并不建议所有人都只进行动物源饮食,而是假设很多慢性健康问题与人普遍没有意识到的植物源饮食有关,包括植物中的油脂、蛋白质、碳水和其他毒素。在现阶段,解决这类问题的一个比较可行的方法是暂停一切植物源饮食,等到问题逐渐解决后,再把自己喜欢的植物源饮食逐一恢复,以此在过程中判断出自己不耐受饮食中的哪些植物。
