The book is written in simple language with lots of actual screen shots to make the use of each app easy to understand. Only the basic use of each app is covered. For example, the section about photo editing only scratches the surface of this huge topic. The book introduces you to the tools used for each subject and the basics of how to use those tools.

All of this is done without a single use of the “command line.”
