But Stalin did not flinch. By 1934, when the Soviet Union had stabilized and socialism had been implanted in the countryside, praise for his stunning anti-capitalist success came from all quarters. Stalin, however, never forgave and never forgot, with shocking consequences as he strove to consolidate the state with a brand new elite of young strivers like himself. 满分推荐，瑕不掩瑜，覆盖农村合作社化，苏联工业化，军队现代化，大清洗，苏德条约，瓜分波兰，德国攻苏巴巴罗莎计划，苏芬战争，苏日纠葛，共产国际以及西班牙内战，以及斯大林的家庭生活。 作者毫无疑问是寒窗苦研的学者，没有苏联文化/生活背景是个局限，看了他近期的时政视频，发现他有拿着苏联研究的锤子即想当然现代中国为钉子的惰性傲慢教条倾向。
