萨尔曼·鲁西迪Sir Salman Rushdie爵士：1947年6月19日出生于印度孟买，中文名又译为萨尔曼·拉什迪，十四岁移居英国读书。其作品风格往往被归类为魔幻写实主义，作品显示出东西方文化的双重影响。
萨尔曼·鲁西迪爵士，印度裔英国作家，因1988年出版的小说《撒旦诗篇》引起极大争议。萨尔曼本人从小不信仰宗教，被其父视为伊斯兰教的“逆子”。祖父是一位乌尔都语诗人，父亲则是剑桥大学商业系的毕业生。14岁时，他被送到英国的格拉比学校读书。1964年他的父亲搬到巴基斯坦的卡拉奇居住。那时候正值印巴战争，鲁西迪继续在剑桥大学三一学院求学，攻读历史。 复杂的宗教、文化和社会背景，注定了他对“历史”、“政治”、“流亡”、“移民”、“混杂”、“文化翻译”、“边缘写作”等问题的热切关注。1981年，文学天赋不同凡响的他凭借第二部小说《午夜之子》获得了当年英国文坛最高奖项“布克奖”，却因作品触怒了印度前总理英迪拉.甘地而被印度当局禁止在国内发行。此后，其小说《羞耻》又因中伤巴基斯坦前总统齐亚.哈克以及著名的布托家族，而导致该书不仅在巴基斯坦遭禁，他本人也被指控犯有诽谤罪。

To my infidel eyes, 也没啥大不了的
没读懂…能读出很多宗教和政治隐喻，但没懂为什么霍梅尼要追杀作者。
